Week 7 and 8 Reflection

This week we did the radio show and it was a really fun experience! I enjoyed because I found it fascinating to get to play the role of the character I created. I was able to do some more character development on her through the process, and find some other ticks and habits I didn’t know she had! It was fun getting to speak from her perspective. Our team chose an apocalypse through virus outbreak them, and our show takes place in the first few days of the apocalypse when no one really knows whats going on yet. So it was fun to imagine what my character would see and what she would feel in the early stages of the apocalypse.

I also enjoyed getting to work in groups the past two weeks. Being able to collaborate with other people is always good for the mind, because for one you have some one to hold you accountable and also you get to mix ideas and come up with some seriously crazy stuff! Some collective story telling in this narrative was interesting. We all had a different idea of what would or could happen in a virus outbreak scenario and we kind of put all the ideas together to create something really great!

QOW: If the apocalypse were to happen, and you had to become something. . .else. Which kind of something would you want to be and why?

– Easy. I would want to be an “alien” of types. No doubt. Imagine the amount of knowledge an alien would have about the universe and what ever else is out there. We know nothing about lifeforms from other planets so their abilities and depths of knowledge could be limitless!

  1. I will definitely say that the group dynamic was good and bad, good like you said because it kept you accountable and on time for producing ideas for the project, but at the same time it was hard to get together at the same time to collaborate. I can’t wait to hear about your radio shows virus outbreak. I chose time travel for mine but I feel that an alien would be fun as well as you could travel to distant places, and like you said they might have abilities that supersede our own.
